they've got one for every "big time" job. I've got one on investment banking from a couple years back when I was finishing bschool. The key things with any trading job are to: - know where the major market indices are as of the previous days close (extra credit for knowing current action - i.e. as of the time of interview) - be aggressive - trading jobs require people who are very up-front in your face types. If you haven't done so yet, ask if they'll let you 'shadow' someone on the floor for a day, even if it means pushing back your interview for a week - the quality of your interview will rise dramatically if you can talk the talk from having experience life on the floor directly - understand how sales and trading fits into the overall scheme of an investment bank's operations - know before you walk in what type of trading the firm you are interviewing is involved with. For example, do they monitor order flow through their market making activities and trade on their own account primarily or is it mostly customer accounts? - size the breadth and quality of the firms research - this is a big extra credit one. It might mean spending a few bucks on multex.com to pull some recent reports from their analysts, but this will allow you to make intelligent remarks on their business. Good luck. I spent seven years in banking (mostly on the retail side) but I've done some work with investment banks through my current position as a management consultant. Let me know if you need any more help - keep in mind confidence is king. They will inevitably try something to throw you off your game - probably not in the first round, but on super saturday. How you handle this and recover goes a long way to determining whether or not you'll get an offer.
